Spider Net

Is it possible? Is anybody blind?

Spider is for definition "any of numerous predaceous arachnids of the order Araneae, most of which spin webs that serve as nests and as traps for prey."

For analogy the spider is considered a strategy planner because uses tools that the victims don't see and it wait that the victim fall in the "net" (trap).

A search engine uses a software called "spider" to scan the net, and it is the core of the search engine.

That means Spider = search engine.

If GOOGLE is the most "important" search engine that means it is "the spider of the net".


Often people told me that most of the google services' don't make money eccept for ad-sense and the search.

Later having read this news "Google - King of the Wireless World" I am more sure what I wrote in this my post "Spider web strategies" and that the free google services' tomorrow will be the standard software for future mobile devices, where a mobile device could be a laptop pc, according to Dan Morril at the “O’Relly ETech conference on emerging technology”.


Maybe tomorrow I will write "the spider has eaten the dinosaur"

Dada Ad to manage ads on Vodafone's mobile network in Italy

I'am reading the news (Or advertising?) that said that Dada AD has been confirmed to manage ads on Vodafone's mobile network in Italy.

Dada Ad has the 49% of Italian mobile advertising market.
Dada Ad has offered free content, Vodafone live portal and important service like Freetime SMS e Freetime MMS according with eMarketer research that esteems more important sms advertising than banner (at the moment).

I pick out my del.icio.us news through more than 300 news in the week on topics like mobile advertising, mobile usability, mobile design.

Most of the news are about mobile advertising.

All the thing on the web turn around advertising and if you don't like it, sooner or later you will like it.

A web page unless advertising doesn't have hold sway.
Advertising give at the page a buiness value and warants that the web site is not an amatorial web site just for hobbies but a business.
If you are not agree about it, try to think at the advertising wall on the construction building in the city centre. They are nice. They are better than grey net protections.

People is not scary by advertising but people esteem it.

The same for sponsor links.
In the first time people doesn't click on them (if they know) now big company use sponsor link to index themselves on the top.

Firefox User Agent Switcher

It could be really useful have Firefox and the “user agent switcher”, a plugin made by Chris Pederick, if you are going to develop mobile device web site. That tool allows your browser to be changed with another device and fake the server sniffer.

To install it follow these steps:

1. Download and install the user agent plugin at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59,
2. Restart your browser
3. Go to Tools>User Agent Switcher>Options>Options>User Agents
4. Press Add and insert the device name ie "Nokia n95" in the description field
5. Insert this string: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaN95/11.0.026; Profile MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413 in the “User Agents” field.

it's about 6 month I'm using this plugin and I think it has made my life more simple.
Limitation is the not really faithful rendering of the page. That means what you see is not you see on the real device. However this is a useful tool to search, testing, and read the xhtml code of other mobile sites

Drugs Pills has moved out of the content

Hy guys I am quite happy. What I was thinking has made been real.
It is about Drugs Pills my weekly review on the most important news about mobile.

It was a little bit of time that I thought finding a system to computerize the process reading information from del.icio.us.
Today I was reading this post http://adamcohenrose.blogspot.com/2008/04/momolondon-mobile-user-experience.html by Adam Cohen-Rose when I saw it:
"The Adam Cohen-Rose favorite" on his blog.

Oh thanks Adam, I'm so lazy a lot of time I’ve seen the setting link in del.icio.us but I never tried it.
Just I spent a lot of time looking for news, subscription and see people network on del.icio.us.

So now I'll try to move my weekly review on the right panel :) cooool (I’m also redesigning my blog, I know it is fucking unusable)

MSN Direct

Last week I've informed about "Seven application for mobile devices" in drugs pills.
The article describes several software where there is MSN Direct, a widget that allows to download data by MSN network offering a best user experience.

According to Brad Lidner in Download Squad, it is a"preview version" a fancy word to say beta version.

With MSN Direct it is possible download data using Wi Fi, 3G or EDGE but unfortunately it is available just for 15 devices (see http://phone.msndirect.com/phone/phonefinder.html).

MSN Direct is a service available for navigation devices, mobile devices, stazioni metereologiche e smart watch.

Through mobile devices is possible to see News, Entertainment, money and sport.
